Inspired by the canoes that once navigated the ancient trade routes of the Caribbean, KANOA is a vessel of memory, movement, and identity.

Handcrafted by three artisans from different regions of the Dominican Republic, Kánoa embodies a dialogue between tradition and innovation. Its body is woven from waxed paper cellulose fleje — a flexible, resistant material historically used in the transport of goods. The wax finish adds durability while preserving a tactile, organic feel. The straps and lining are made from cactus-based vegan leather, a sustainable alternative that honors both the land and contemporary values.
